Integrating Design Aesthetics, Craftsmanship, and Innovative Technology
Today’s consumers seek intimates that is both visually appealing and comfortable. To achieve these two key elements, design, craftsmanship, and technology must be seamlessly integrated.
This programme, accredited at Level 4 under the Qualifications Framework, is one of the few specialised certificates in fashion bodywear construction available in the market. It is designed for individuals interested in fashion bodywear construction, offering a balanced curriculum that combines theoretical knowledge with practical training. Learners will develop the core skills of intimates design and construction, building a solid foundation in creativity and technical expertise.
Ideal for designers, lingerie industry professionals, entrepreneurs, or those in the performing arts who are interested in the fashion bodywear sector. Beginners are also welcome.

A government subsidy Vplus is available for our part-time students of QF registered programmes, including the abovementioned.

Award
Upon successful completion of the programme, students will be awarded the "Certificate in Fashion Sportswear and Bodywear Construction and Technology (Fashion Bodywear Construction and Technology Module)".

Irene 是香港內衣設計及時裝科技領域的專家,擁有超過40年專業經驗,並投入超過20年於教學及專業培訓。她在內衣設計、紡織工程、試身技術、紙樣製作、放碼及貼身服裝製作方面擁有深厚知識,廣受認可。
她曾於多個海外及本地領先企業擔任內衣設計師及胸杯技術設計師,以及香港理工大學及香港生產力促進局講師,教授胸杯模壓、大碼內衣、胸圍設計、紙樣製作及放碼等課程。
她曾進行全球貼身衣設計與放碼研究,並與各地紡織製造商合作,啟發出創新且符合人體工學的理念,成功改良傳統紙樣設計與裁剪方法,而專利試身技術更奠定她在業界的領導地位。她的成就包括多項業界獎項,表彰她在貼身服裝製作上的創新,以及在教學指導的卓越表現。
Irene 持續透過研發、專利開發以及為多個企業提供內部培訓,推動行業創新,展現她對內衣設計與教育的熱忱。
Irene is an accomplished specialist in lingerie design and garment technology in Hong Kong, with over 40 years of experience in the underwear industry and more than 20 years dedicated to teaching and professional training. She is widely recognized for her expertise in lingerie design, textile engineering, fitting technology, pattern making, size grading, and intimate apparel construction.
She has served as an intimate apparel designer and bra cup technical designer for global and local leading companies, and as an instructor at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) and the Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC), delivering courses on bra cup molding, plus-sized lingerie, bra cup design, pattern making, and grading.
Her global research on lingerie design and grading, combined with collaborations with leading textile manufacturers, has inspired innovative, ergonomically driven approaches that modify the traditional pattern design and cutting methods. Her pioneering work in developing patented fitting technologies has further established her as a leader in the industry. Her career is distinguished by multiple industry awards honoring her innovation in intimate apparel construction and excellence in teaching and mentorship.
Irene continues to advance the industry through R&D, patent development, and in-house training for major clients, demonstrating her commitment to innovation and education.

Basic Qualification
| (a) | - | Five HKDSE subjects at Level 2 or above, including English and Chinese Languages, or equivalent; OR |
| - | Five HKCEE subjects at Grade E / Level 2 or above, including English and Chinese Languages, or equivalent; OR | |
| - | Completion of a QF Level 3 programme that is deemed acceptable to the respective Programme Board; OR | |
| - | Relevant RPL qualification(s) at QF Level 3 or above AND a pass in an entrance assessment, which can be either oral or written; OR | |
| - | Other relevant verifiable prior learning and/or work experience that is/are deemed appropriate by respective Programme Board AND a pass in an entrance assessment, which can be either oral or written. | |
| (b) | Applicants are required to have at least 1 year of relevant working experience. | |
| (c) | An interview may also be required on a need basis. |
Mature Applicants
Mature applicants, i.e. those aged 21 or above with at least two years’ relevant working experience, can be admitted. Where appropriate, the applicant may be required to pass an entrance assessment, which can be in an oral and/or written form.
