Programme Objectives
- create product design solutions;
- analyse the market trends and environment for identification of development opportunities;
- communicate and present different design stages with effective visuals and digital modeling at a professional standard;
- manage a design project in a holistic scope from project brief setting, schedule planning and interactions with client and production team.

▌ Vincent Chu
Vincent Chu is currently the Design Director at VTech Electronics Ltd. With over 20 years of experience, he has helped industry-leading companies such as VTech, Wowwee and Alpha Group to design, innovate, research, and develop entertaining and educational toys for children. He also has nearly a decade of management experience in this innovative R&D sector - from directing and managing engineers and designers regarding new product ideation and development to solving production issues with manufacturers, as well as sharing his wisdom and experience with these teams regarding the associated structural and ergonomic design development of these novelty products.
Vincent has a proven track record for creating innovative, user-focused, and award-winning toys on over 100 products, including winning the Grand Prix Toy of the Year award 3 times at the Grand Prix du Jouet.
Design Director at VTech Electronics Ltd., has over 20 years of experience designing, innovating, and developing entertaining and educational toys for industry-leading companies. With extensive management experience, Vincent has successfully directed new product ideation, solved production issues, and provided valuable expertise in structural and ergonomic design developments. He has an impressive track record of creating over 100 innovative, user-focused and award-winning toys, including three wins for the Grand Prix Toy of the Year award.

Entry Requirements
Basic Qualification
| (a) | - | Five HKDSE subjects at Level 2 or above, including English and Chinese Languages, or equivalent; OR |
| - | Five HKCEE subjects at Grade E / Level 2 or above, including English and Chinese Languages, or equivalent; OR | |
| - | Completion of a QF Level 3 programme that is deemed acceptable to the respective Programme Board; OR | |
| - | Relevant RPL qualification(s) at QF Level 3 or above AND a pass in an entrance assessment, which can be either oral or written; OR | |
| - | Other relevant verifiable prior learning and/or work experience that is/are deemed appropriate by respective Programme Board AND a pass in an entrance assessment, which can be either oral or written. | |
| (b) | Applicants are required to have at least 1 year of relevant working experience. | |
| (c) | Basic knowledge of the subject area is preferred. | |
| (d) | An interview may also be required on a need basis. |
Mature Applicants
Mature applicants, i.e. those aged 21 or above with at least two years’ relevant working experience, can be admitted. Where appropriate, the applicant may be required to pass an entrance assessment, which can be in an oral and/or written form.
