Certificate in Art Direction for Film Production

Strengths

• Lectured by a professional and experienced Art Director from the Hong Kong film industry;
• Industry practitioners to share the techniques in visualizing the script from text to images;
• Students will be taught to create a production plan for a scene of a selected HK film;
• Vplus Creative Industries subsidy available, eligible students can reimburse 60% of the fee paid (up to a max. of $36,000).

Objectives

• Execute as an individual professional or in a team by employing production design management skills; and
• Apply design strategies by exploring and incorporating aesthetic concepts to visualise a fictional world into screen reality for film production.

霍佩詩 Ceci FOK

專業電影美術指導，擅以藝術創造有時間性的的場景，營造虛幻⼜真實的舞台，近期電影作品包括《毒⾆⼤狀》、《⼀秒拳王》、《非份熟女》，場景多以實感
及⼿⼯質感為主調。2023年1⽉為華納兄弟的⾺來⻄亞電影體驗館《The Conjuring Universe Tour》，仿製多件標誌性的電影道具。霍於2021年加入香港電影美術學會為執委會員，推動年輕電影美術的普及，於2023年的《無中⽣有 － 香港電影美術及服裝造型展》中，展示多件電影道具，並聯合香港盲⼈輔導會⼝述影像中⼼舉⾏展覽盲⼈導賞，普及香港電影美術於各界⼈⼠。

隨了美術⽅⾯，霍於2021年第九屆創加作微電影⽀援計劃以專業組資格入圍，第⼀次執導的短⽚ 《你在記憶中走來》<Enter Your Dream>，獲得「最佳微電影女主
⾓獎」銅獎、「最佳微電影製作⼤獎」銅獎、「最佳微電影美術指導獎」三個獎項。2021年，在中⽂⼤學學習藝術期間，⽤了參予藝術式創作為媒介，作品有
《象徵性紀念碑》、《界》。並於2021年5⽉，於⼤南街平⾏空間進⾏了⾸次聯展《⼆・景 》，這體驗式的裝置藝術作品為《去那個動物園》。

Professional film art director, adept at using art to create scenic spaces with a sense of time, constructing fantasy yet realistic stages. Her recent film works include A Guilty Conscience, One Second Champion, and The Lady Improper, with scenes emphasising realism and handcrafted textures. In January 2023, she recreated many iconic film props for Warner Bros’ The Conjuring Universe Tour in Malaysia. Ceci joined The Hong Kong Film Arts Association as an Executive Committee Member in 2021 and has been promoting film arts among young people. At the Out of Thin Air: Hong Kong Film Arts & Costumes Exhibition in 2023, she displayed a number of film props, and collaborated with The Hong Kong Society for the Blind Information Accessibility Centre to conduct an audio description guided tour for the visually impaired.

Ceci won three awards with her directorial debut short film Enter Your Dream in The 9th Microfilm Production Support Scheme in 2021. She also constructed and presented an installation art piece titled What the Zoo in Parallel Space at Tai Nam Street in a duo exhibition the same year.

Mature Applicants
Mature applicants, i.e. those aged 21 or above with at least two years’ relevant working experience, can be admitted. Where appropriate, the applicant may be required to pass an entrance assessment, which can be in an oral and/or written form.
