This programme is designed to enable students to work in the fashion design and product development field. Students will find the programme both practical and creative, learning through fashion shows, live projects, design competitions and an international exchange programme and working with visiting practitioners and organisations from fashion and related industries. Students will be expected to acquire design concept generation, pattern-making and fashion product sewing techniques. The Knitwear Design and Accessories Design streams provide students with a more comprehensive learning scope required by the market.

Image design has been accepted as a new profession specialising in make-up, hair styling, fashion styling and fashion photography to create the best and most appropriate images and styling for individuals, brands and corporations. This programme aims to provide graduates with systematic and professional training to enter the fashion image design; advertising; film, television and media; and costume/art direction industries.

The Fashion Media Design programme implements a wide range of activities across the communication spectrum, such as media strategy, journalism, social media, blogging for business and Web and app design, to achieve a modern and well-rounded fashion communication solution.

This programme is designed to enable students to work in the different areas of fashion media design. It emphasises the enrichment of students’ international exposure. Students will find the programme both practical and creative through different learning experiences such as lectures, tutorials, projects, visits, competitions and industrial attachment. Broad knowledge and skills in fashion film, fashion journalism, new media strategies, social media and blogging for business form the core components of the programme.
