Strengths

• Industry’s only occupational training programme for 360 VR Tour Production registered at QF in Hong Kong;
• Hands-on sessions with most advanced 360 capturing equipment;
• Mastering various fields of expertise such as, gigapixel HDR panorama, 360 VR tour with floor plan and hotspots, and customizable interactive VR tour interface publishing;
• Vplus Creative Industries subsidy available, eligible students can reimburse 60% of the fee paid (up to a max. of $36,000).

Objectives

• equip students with profession-specific knowledge and skills for 360 photography and effective use of virtual tour publishing software in 360 VR tour projects; and
• enable students to implement immersive and interactive virtual tour technology in a wide range of applications.

Intended Learning Outcomes

On completion of Certificate in 360 VR Tour Production, learners are expected to be able to:

• operate specialized camera equipment and 360 imaging software to reproduce seamless 360 visuals; and
• create customized tour with accurate floor plan and labelling, and publish project in different presentation formats and online platforms.

Entry Requirements

Basic Qualification
(a)

• Five HKDSE subjects at Level 2 or above, including English and Chinese Languages, or equivalent; or
• Five HKCEE subjects at Grade E / Level 2 or above, including English and Chinese Languages, or equivalent; or
• Completion of a QF Level 2 programme that is deemed acceptable to the respective Programme Board; or
• Relevant RPL qualification(s) at QF Level 2 or above AND a pass in an entrance assessment, which can be either oral or written; or
• Other relevant verifiable prior learning and/or work experience that is/are deemed appropriate by respective Programme Board AND a pass in an entrance assessment, which can be either oral or written.

(b)   Applicants are required to have at least 1-year working experience.
(c)   An interview may also be required on need basis.

Mature Applicants
Mature applicants, i.e. those aged 21 or above with at least two years’ relevant working experience, may be admitted. Where appropriate, the applicant may be required to pass an entrance assessment, which can be in an oral and/or written form.
