Carolyn SO Passionate and deeply involved in different kind of creativities, makeup and hairstyling image design. She has over 10 years of experience in all aspects of beauty make-up as MUA in fashion advertising, editorial, runway, commercial and film in Hong Kong, including makeovers for celebrities e.g. Grace Chan, Gloria Tang, Akina Fong, Tony Hung and Antony Wong etc. Also has many years of experience in TVB for actors makeup and special effects makeup. She’s now a mentor and teacher in HKDI selflessly endeavoring in teaching and passing on skills in fashion image, design and makeup. |
Objectives
(1) equip students with profession-specific knowledge and skills for analyzing key features of body shapes in building up image styling of total look imagery; and
(2) nurture students with creative styling techniques, professional working and learning attitude, and to further develop fashion image and styling portfolio to be applied in different commercial contexts.
Entry Requirements
Basic Qualification
(a)
- Five HKDSE subjects at Level 2 or above, including English and Chinese Languages, or equivalent; or
- Five HKCEE subjects at Grade E / Level 2 or above, including English and Chinese Languages, or equivalent; or
- Completion of a QF Level 3 programme that is deemed acceptable to the respective Programme Board; or
- Relevant RPL qualification(s) at QF Level 3 or above AND a pass in an entrance assessment, which can be either oral or written; or
- Other relevant verifiable prior learning and/or work experience that is/are deemed appropriate by respective Programme Board
(b) Applicants are required to have at least 1 year relevant working experience.
(c) Basic knowledge of photography/ videography and video editing experience is preferred.
(d) An interview may also be required on need basis.
Mature Applicants
Mature applicants, i.e. those aged 21 or above with at least two years’ relevant working experience, may be admitted. Where appropriate, the applicant may be required to pass an entrance assessment, which can be in an oral and/or written form.
