Jewellery design students swept awards at the Hong Kong Fei Cui Design Biennial Contest

Fei cui is a medium of traditional oriental culture, contemporary art and commendable craftsmanship. HKDI Jewellery design students were awarded Champion, 1st Runner-up and 2nd Runner-up and seven Merit Awards of the "Student Groups of post-secondary institutes or design institutes (Drawings)" category at the Hong Kong Fei Cui Design Biennial Contest. The contest aims to enhance creative exchange on fei cui design among designers and enthusiasts all around the world. Tsang Yuen Ting from Higher Diploma in Jewellery Design and Technology was the Champion. Her work “Silk Road” was inspired by the Belt and Road Initiative, based on the 21st century maritime Silk Road, the Silk Road economic belt and the map of China, to symbolise the cultural and economic exchanges among different countries enabled by the Silk Road.
