This programme prepares you for an exciting career as a globally-minded designer. You’ll acquire the skills you need to become a professional product or service designer, and create innovative products and engaging service experiences. You’ll also develop a creative and innovative approach to product design and service innovation by challenging and exploring contemporary practices through a series of exciting and diverse projects.

The programme emphasises studio learning which provides opportunities for supervisors to work with you to create design solutions for real-life problems or offer new design opportunities and peer exchange. Besides studio learning and in-person teaching, your learning will also be enriched with online sessions and remote access to resources.

In this module you will produce a significant body of independent product design project work, including design work based on a project brief that you generate via self-directed research. The module brings together the theoretical and practical skills, knowledge and experiences gained during previous study to provide an experience that mimics the role of the professional product designer.  You will develop your understanding of how your practice can be applied in real-world/practical settings.
