This programme has a long history of success, having produced world-renowned designers and influential educators who now work in some of the top consultancies and influential design industries around the world.

The programme has been designed to embrace the ever-widening scope of product design. Its academic vision reflects the values and concerns of current design practice, and anticipates future business and cultural trends. The programme content, structure and delivery respond to general and specific student needs in preparation for a lifetime of work, together with current and foreseeable employment opportunities nationally and internationally.

Graduates may pursue a variety of careers within manufacturing or as consultants, design practitioners or design managers. Others may wish to pursue freelance careers. Related fields of employment, such as marketing and design research, also attract graduates. On graduation, further study opportunities are available at the Master and PhD levels.
