HKDI Communication Design Students Swept Seven Printing Awards

HKDI Visual Communication students have garnered 3 Gold, 3 Silver and 1 Bronze awards in the 32nd Hong Kong Print Awards, demonstrating their graphic design virtuosity and extraordinary creativity in applying various printing technologies.

 

‘The Storm Warriors of the Tea House’ Board Game Design created by Lip Ka Lee, Wong Yee Ting, Yip Tsz Ying, Tang Chuk Yan won the Gold Award in the category of Environmental Creative Products - Packaging Printing. The design aims to preserve and inherit the unique traditional tea house culture of Hong Kong.

 

‘Close’ Risograph Calendar Design created by Lip Ka Lee won the Gold Award in the category of Environmental Creative Products - Calendar Printing. Inspired by Hong Kong public housing, the design simplifies the structure and appearance of building into repeated patterns, while risograph printing enhances the vivid colours and convey the energetic atmosphere of the housing.

 

‘Sing Yin 50th Bulletin’ created by Phiphatcholathee Yee Lam won the Gold Award in the category of School Printing Materials. The design is a special edition of print bulletin by Sing Yin Secondary School combining various printing and binding techniques
