Two students from HKDI Higher Diploma in Jewellery Design and Technology excelled in The 38th HK Watch & Clock Design Competition. With the stunning design “Insight” and “Expedition”, which were created by YIP Tsz Yan and PUI Hong Yiu, have won the champion and the second runner up in the student group respectively.

The champion design work “Insight”, designed by YIP Tsz Yan, can be worn from hand to head. The bezel and the glass of the watch are made with diamond-cut design and the case-back contains a fancy glass, to refract light and reflect different colors. The watch band is made of streamlined metal which can be turned into a choker when it is unfolded. It will then be transformed to a bracelet when it is folded with the watch being taken out. YIP hopes the design can regain human’s good times and live the precious youthful moment slowly.
