HKDI Higher Diploma in Landscape Architecture Programme collaborated with the LINK asset management limited (LINK) last year. The students were requested to redesign the “Time Tunnel” in Lok Wah South Estate, 8 groups of students presented their creative proposals and 2 teams were awarded as Champion and First-runner up.

The winning team created a colourful design which was inspired by the “Chinese Happy Chess”. The team hoped to transform the space and bring joy and well-being back to the people of Hong Kong after going through the pandemic for more than a year.

The first runner-up, “Integrate into Lok Wah” as the theme, suggested using multi-color Dichroic glass as puzzles to redecorate the area. The sun shines on the multi-color glass and creates different effects at different times, implying the significance of racial equality.
