HKDI Fashion Design Talents won award in Knitwear Symphony 2019

HKDI fashion design student Wong Hin Kok Ryan won an award in Knitwear Symphony 2019: The 9th Hong Kong Knitwear Design Competition, organised by Knitwear Innovation and Design Society, The Knitwear Symphony 2018 and The 8th Hong Kong Young Knitwear Designers Contest aim at promoting knitwear and nurturing a new generation of knitwear designers.
 
Ryan’s work entitled Disconnected won the “Shima Seiki Award” in the competition. Disconnected is a word to describe an internet status when a user is no longer connected or involved. Ryan’s work illustrates the concept of people stuck in the virtual world and disconnected from reality.
