There are many facets to the discipline of Design in today’s society, enabling endless possibilities for design education. At HKDI, teaching and learning leverage technology, tools and skills to provide students with a comprehensive curriculum, nurturing HKDI students’ creativity and practical skills, and above all their readiness for challenges from the industry, to ultimately apply design principles and theories to projects that become products and services benefitting society as a whole.

At DesignInspire 2019, HKDI students’ works of design are presented in a space that soars through into the “sky”. Students from various Higher Diploma programmes have adopted the different skills and practical knowledge they gained at HKDI, materialising their creative ideas to shape the latest design trends in Hong Kong, in response to the needs of different people’s daily lives. The installation to be exhibited from 5-7 December 2019 at Hall 3 of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre is more than a platform for students to turn their imagination into reality – it is also a unique opportunity for visitors to delve into these emerging design talents’ universe.
