“In Praise of Silk: Fashion from China National Silk Museum Across Time”, an exhibition by the Department of Fashion and Image Design (FID) in collaboration with the China National Silk Museum. From the collection of the Museum, one of the world’s largest textile museums, the exhibition is an insightful journey through the millennia-long evolution of China’s silk culture and its global impact. Exhibits range from ancient Chinese silkwork designs to contemporary fashion, weaving looms, animations, photographs, and more.
